Pimpri Chinchwad, 19th November 2024: In preparation for tomorrow’s Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) has deployed a robust force of 4,333 police personnel to ensure a secure and orderly voting process. This deployment is part of extensive security measures taken by the authorities, which include combing operations, patrols, and preventive actions.

Key Points of Deployment:

  1. Leadership & Personnel:
    • 1 Joint Commissioner of Police.
    • 1 Additional Commissioner of Police.
    • 6 Deputy Commissioners of Police.
    • 9 Assistant Commissioners of Police.
    • 221 Police Inspectors, Assistant Police Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors.
    • 3,095 Constables and 1,000 Home Guards.
  2. Additional Forces:
    • Reinforcements from the Haryana Police, Border Security Force (BSF), State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will assist local police.
  3. Special Arrangements:
    • Special teams will patrol critical areas.
    • Additional traffic and security personnel will be stationed in high-congestion zones.
    • Preventive measures have been implemented to monitor potential disruptions.

Constituencies Covered:

The police deployment covers critical constituencies under PCPC jurisdiction, including Maval, Pimpri, Bhosari, Chinchwad, Bhor, and Khed-Alandi.

The authorities aim to ensure that voters feel safe and that the electoral process is conducted in a transparent, fair, and fear-free environment.
