The Pune Metro has extended its routes. Now, it goes from Vanaz to Ruby Hall and from Pimpri to the District Court.
More people are using the Metro because of these new routes. On 30th June, a record number of 1,99,437 people traveled on the Pune Metro. This is the highest number of passengers ever in one day.
Out of these, 83,426 people traveled on Line One (from PCMC to District Court). And 1,16,011 people traveled on Line Two (from Vanaz to Ruby Hall).
The PCMC metro station had the most passengers with 19,919 people. Next was PMC with 18,079 passengers. Then Shivajinagar had 17,046 passengers. Pune Railway Station had 15,378 passengers. And Ramwadi had 14,770 passengers.
Other busy stations were District Court, Vanaz, Deccan Gymkhana, Nash Stop, and Bhosari.
Many people are also buying Metro cards. On that day, 39,025 Pune Mahacards and 10,522 Pune Vidyarthi Mahacards were sold.
