Pune's Water Crisis
Pune: MLA Siddharth Shirole has called for the implementation of a rainwater harvesting scheme in Pune.
He spoke about this during a discussion in the Legislative Assembly.
Shirole is worried because the groundwater level in Pune is going down.

To fix this, Shirole says we need to start collecting rainwater and also save and protect wells.
Shivajinagar: Shirole also spoke about safety issues at tourist spots in the district.
He said that security and law and order are not good at these places.
He asked the government to take strong steps to improve safety for tourists.
Kalsubai peak has had many visitors in the past month.
Sadly, last Sunday, a tourist died of a heart attack there.

Three tourists have been washed away in the waterfalls of the Tamhini sanctuary.
Five people were swept away at Bhushi Dam.
Shirole also mentioned a young woman who went missing five days ago at Harishchandra Fort.
Other places like Sinhagad, Sandan Valley, and Harihargad are also seeing big crowds.
Shirole said that to prevent accidents, we need to control the crowds at these spots.
Even though the waterfalls in Mulshi, Lonavala, and Tamhini have not fully opened yet, many people are visiting these areas.
Shirole brought up these concerns in the Assembly and asked for immediate action.
