Mumbai: Speculations are rife over the next chief minister of Maharashtra. It is almost certain that the Chief Minister will be from the BJP. Against this backdrop, caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reached Thane from a village in Satara and has called an urgent meeting of the Shiv Sena.
In this meeting, Chief Minister Shinde will discuss the seat sharing and participation with the partners of the Mahayuti. Also, the post of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister can also be decided. The Shiv Sena is likely to get 14 ministerial berths. It is learnt that senior ministers from the previous cabinet and new MLAs excluding some ex-ministers will get ministerial posts.
A final decision on government formation is likely to be taken in the meeting.
