Minister Mushrif announced that a new government cancer hospital will be set up in the area of ​​Sassoon Hospital in Pune

Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif informed during the question and answer hour in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday that an independent government cancer hospital will be set up in the Sassoon Hospital area.

Member Bhimrao Tapkir raised a question about Sassoon Hospital.

Opposition leaders Vijay Wadettiwar, Jayant Patil, Yashomati Thakur, Anil Deshmukh, Vishwajit Kadam, and Ashok Pawar participated in the discussion.

New Government Cancer Hospital to Rise in Sassoon Hospital Area

Mushrif said that bariatric surgery doctors have been made available at Sassoon Hospital.

The number of doctors is sufficient for the treatment of newborns, and the number of beds in the intensive care unit will be increased.

An inspection tour of the hospital will be organized with a meeting of all the public representatives of Pune city to discuss the facilities and current situation in Sassoon.

The procedure for filling the vacant posts in medical colleges and hospitals is being done through ‘MPSC‘.

All vacancies in Group ‘C’ have been filled.

District Collectors at the local level have been empowered on a contractual basis to fill Group ‘D’ post vacancies.

The authority to purchase medicines in medical college hospitals has been given to the Principal.

Therefore, if there is an urgent need for medicines, they are being procured locally.

Mushrif said that this decision was taken so that the patients do not suffer due to the non-availability of medicines.
