Pune 10% increase in 10th and 12th class exam fees for 2025-26

Pune, May 5, 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has approved a 10% increase in examination fees for class 10 (Class 10) and class 12 (Class 12) students for the academic year 2025-26. This is likely to put a financial burden on students and parents.

In the board meeting, it was decided to increase only the examination fee, and other fees remained unchanged. The examination fee will increase from ₹470 to ₹520, i.e. an increase of ₹50. The registration fee for private candidates has been fixed at ₹1,110. This is the third consecutive year when the fee has been increased, which has led to discontent among parents.
