Harvard University offers free education

Harvard University has increased financial aid for families with incomes of $200,000 or less, making it easier for more students to get an education.

  • Harvard will pay for tuition, food, housing, health insurance and travel for families with incomes of $100,000 or less.
  • Tuition fees will be waived for families with incomes of $200,000 or less, as well as help with other expenses.
  • 86% of American families will receive financial aid.

Harvard President Alan M. Garber said that removing financial barriers will broaden the intellectual and personal development of students. Since 2004, the income threshold for eligible aid has been increased from $40,000 to $85,000.

Harvard Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid William R. Fitzsimmons said that our goal is to provide opportunities for the brightest students from around the world.
