Pune, March 18, 2025: The admission process for students on the waiting list for 25% reserved seats under the Right to Education (RTE) Act has begun and will continue till March 24. Director of Primary Education Sharad Gosavi has given official information in this regard.
This year, a total of 1,09,087 seats are available in 8,863 schools in Maharashtra, out of 3,05,152 applications, 1,01,967 students were selected through lottery. As of March 10, 69,610 students have secured admission, and students on the waiting list are being given admission for the remaining seats.
From March 18, parents of eligible students are being notified through SMS as per the availability of seats, but are advised to check the status of the application regularly on the official RTE website. To complete the admission process, parents should appear at the verification center with the necessary documents, verify them and confirm admission online. For final admission, it is necessary to visit the designated school along with the confirmation receipt.
