Wipro Limited has appointed Sandeep Dhar as the Global Head of the Global Capability Center (GCC) practice. The move strengthens Wipro’s AI-driven, advisory-based approach to help global enterprises build the GCC of the future.
Dhar has 30+ years of experience in the GCC and advisory ecosystem. He has made significant contributions to the development and innovation of GCCs at companies such as Tesco and Goldman Sachs. He will now report directly to CEO Sanjeev Jain and lead Wipro’s overall GCC strategy.
This appointment is significant as GCC is growing in markets like India. According to Nasscom, there are 1700+ GCCs in India, employing over 2 million people. Wipro provides AI, automation, cybersecurity, cloud and engineering services that enable clients to transform their centers.
Under Dhar’s leadership, Wipro aims to create innovation-driven, competitive GCCs for clients and accelerate their transformational journeys.
